Aruba, a tiny Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela, has dry, sunny weather, blond beaches and gentle surf. Constant trade winds bring cooling breezes and cause the divi-divi trees to slope southwesterly. European influence shows in architecture that features Dutch gables painted in tropical pastels. It's also evident in language, with English, Dutch and Spanish spoken alongside the local tongue, Papiamento.

In Aruba, the official languages are Dutch and Papiamento but nearly everyone speaks English and Spanish.

Papiamento is the dominant language on the island. It is Creole that comes from a mixture of Spanish, Portuguese and African languages. To preserve the culture and language of the island, locals and the government put efforts towards acknowledging the importance of the language to the area. newspapers and books written in Papiamento are encouraged in the island and there are several daily English language newspapers.

There are many unique cultural practices, diversity, sandy beaches, glamorous resorts and casinos, amazing cuisine, plentiful rental cars in good condition, a modern state of the art airport and so much more. One of the main reasons why tourists flood the island all year long is due to the fantastic weather. The island is very convenient for U.S. visitors because there is no need to exchange currency, nearly all merchants and businesses accept U.S. Dollars.
